Cleaning the ring...

Anyone know the best way to clean an engagement ring?

    one part amonia and five parts water does WONDERS. i just did it a few weeks ago. i did a cap full of amonia in a bowl. then add water. put the ring in and let it soak. use a tooth brush to clean all of the small parts. rinse clean (but don't drop it down the drain!!)

    Thanks!! I'll be sure and pull the drain thing before I rinse it off....just for a little extra insurance. :)
